A 24-hour reset (and what it changed)

Feb 02, 2026

Over the past week, I’ve been reviewing Seven Human Hungers assessments.

One thing jumped out immediately:

Stimulation is the most starved.

Which sounds strange — until you look closer.

We’re surrounded by noise. Notifications. Messages. Feeds. Opinions. Invites. Constant low-level demand on our attention.

And yet… we’re still under-nourished.

Because what most of us are experiencing isn’t true stimulation. It’s overload.

MIND

Stimulation, Screens, and Self-Agency

There’s a lot of nonsense talked about screen time.

No one can tell you how much is “right.”

There are seasons where being fully locked-in is necessary to move the needle. And seasons where your body is asking you — quietly at first — to slow down.

Saturday, I noticed the signs:

  • Headaches
  • A subtle edge in my nervous system
  • That familiar feeling of pushing through instead of listening

So on Sunday, I tried something different.

I left my phone off all day.

I turned it back on at 8pm, just to prep for the week ahead.

No drama.

No detox label.

No identity shift.

Just a reset. And it worked.

I felt calmer. More present. More connected.

So here’s a question worth sitting with this week:

Where are you starving your hunger for stimulation — not because you’re lazy, but because you’re overloaded?

And what would a small reset look like — one your body would actually thank you for?

MONEY

Mastery, Mission, and Energy

I’ve been revisiting Money: Master the Game by Tony Robbins.

It’s worth your time.

He’s been back on podcasts recently promoting his free event, and whatever your view of him, the body of work he’s created over decades is substantial.

What struck me wasn’t the money.

It was the energy.

Despite the billions, the mission still seems alive — even urgent.

That’s rare.

And it raises a useful mirror for all of us:

What is your relationship with money doing to your energy?

Does it expand you… or tighten you?

MISSION

The Ripple Effect (Do It)

You know what fills me up most?

The conversations that happen because of the work.

“Really glad you covered autoimmune — I’ve struggled with that.” — said by a builder, dust still on his face from taking a wall out.

“I’m grateful to be here helping with this — I get so much out of it.” — a friend at the farm, pulling the podcast together.

That’s the ripple effect.

When you contribute from the heart, it moves outward — through people, through moments, through the wider system.

And eventually, it comes back.

The ebb and flow.

In and out.

Day and night.

Pain and joy.

That’s how it works.

So… do it.

LIFE LATELY

This week’s podcast guest is Mark Murray, founder of Whysup.

Mental health. Addiction. Business. A powerful journey — the episode will be out next week.

The farm feels quiet at the moment. Still. Challenging weather. Early mornings.

Today was a 5am start to get jobs done before heading to London for our Q1 meeting.

But this space is becoming more than a home.

When Lily and I moved here, we wanted to create a place to create more — and positively influence more lives.

The podcast setting is enabling that. No doubt.

YOUR TURN

Take a moment and reflect:

1. Which of the Seven Hungers do you feel most starved of right now — and what’s the evidence?

2. What would your small reset be this week? (An evening off, a phone-off Sunday, a walk, a boundary.)

3. Any podcast topics, guests, or questions you’d love explored?

To our continued collective growth,

Paul
